Ola People

Well it is official 11 minutes ago I turned 28. 22nd of october closing in on the big three O but that is for later concern.

As for the title. Well it is simply like that. My last journal pretty much summed up a load of stuff that happened to me in the last few weeks and that was without even mentioning the financial state of the world. I´m pretty sure everybody knows about it. But being the owner of my own small design studio it feels kinda tough and the life is absolutely not easy. Good times are very possibly not far away I´m working very hard on that.

However sometimes stuff happens that makes you happy. It can be small things it can be things that are a bit bigger. One of the things that happened to me was I was visiting a company I worked for before starting my own company and found out they were downsizing and cleaning up their office (another great example of recession at work) So I sat there. talked with the boss for a while and when I wanted to go home he told me he had something for me. I ended up going home with 4 boxes full of CD's with Stockphoto's and Stock vector all free to use and no restrictions. Stuff that is superusefull for my own company and artworks. And what is more important... it must have cost them a fortune. Al he wanted from me in return was lunch for him and the 4 people that still worked there and which were colleagues of me when I was still working there. I thought it to be a very small offer for such great stuff.

Another event I had yo laugh about a bit was I put some sruff from my ww2 militaria collection. It was stuff that I had for a long time. superrare but not really in my interest zone. One of the items was a small songbook. approximately 15 cm high, 8 cm wide..just under a cm thick. I put it on Marktplaats which is pretty much a sort of Dutch version of Ebay or any other auction site. Today I opened my mail and saw that I had an offer on it. Which was immediately 100 euro. Today also another bidder came along and started to bid higher. Pretty curious how this will end. But the first bid was alreadt way above what I wanted for it... so everything that is bid higher from now is pure bonus. Same goes for the other items
